Summary of Regular Board Meeting Minutes

May 2012 Board Meeting

  • Representatives of the ROR FireWise Committee presented a proposal for the installation of 7 fire hydrants in the community. The project would be funded through a special assessment levied on each property owner. The Board agreed to move forward with a special meeting of all property owners to be held before the end of June, at which time a vote will be taken to decide whether to proceed with the project.
  • Board agreed to spend up to $1,200 on ground maintenance work at Reserve A.
  • Board agreed to spend $2,500 to complete grading work around the perimeter of the Horse Arena and improve the area at the rear of the property. The majority of this expenditure will be funded from the Horse Arena funds. The remainder will come from the Maintenance Reserve Fund.

February 2012 Board Meeting

  • CPA has completed year-end review of the financial accounts. Income tax return and franchise tax report have also been completed and filed.
  • Considered quote for increasing amount of liability insurance coverage.
    Agreed to maintain current limits which are adequate.
  • Reviewed quotes for remedial maintenance work of the roadside ditches and easements which are in poor condition due to last year's drought. Agreed to spend up to $2,800 to have the maintenance work completed in April (weather permitting).
  • Future board meetings will be open to property owners who wish to attend and notifications will be send via email and posted to the community website.

January 2012 Board Meeting

  • Agreed to reassess the Association's legal representation.
  • ROR Firewise committee has been formed. Committee currently pursuing the addition of fire hydrants and emergency exits.
